A Little History
We have been in this location since January of 2015. We built out the space ourselves in three weekends, working 40-50 hours per weekend.
This has always been our dream; to have a dedicated space were we can help people of all shapes and sizes with different diseases of varying severity.
Lets Take The Tour
Our waiting room has plenty of comfy chairs but we pride our selves in the minimal amount of time you will have to enjoy them. You won’t wait too long if you come to see us.
Next we have one of our diagnostic rooms that contains our CAPS unit and saccodometer. The CAPS unit is a computerized posturography tool that allows us to test your balance and identify any issues. The saccodometer tracks the movement of your eyes. Why is that important? Because the eyes are the only sensory system that activate every part of your brain. So if there’s a breakdown in the brain we should be able to find it and see it in the ocular system.
As we go through our tour, we are going to spend a lot of time talking about each piece of diagnostic equipment and how it is used. The CAPS and the Saccodometer are two diagnostic tests that we give every single patient that comes through our doors, regardless of whether they have been injured or not. We do this because we need a baseline of your brain function so we have something to compare to after you have completed a therapy regimen.
Ocular Function Testing
In what we like to call our bread and butter room, we utilize a device made by micro medical that measures your eye movement in the dark vs the light. For a person who is unable to stay asleep or has a difficulty staying asleep, this test helps us to identify related problems within the ocular system. It is also helpful in assessing patients who suffer from vertigo, dizziness, ADD, and other
learning disorders. We had one patient that was diagnosed with autism and dealing with aDD and other learning disorders. What we found was that in light, his eyes tracked normally but when he put the glasses and was completely in the dark his eyes tracked in the opposite direction of what should happen. When the head goes back, the eyes should go down. When the head goes forward, eyes should go up. His brain was doing the opposite. Think of how that would affect you. So with that, we were able to then make a therapy program to get his brain working and get the changes he needed so he could do better in school.
In one of our therapy rooms we have a high-low table or tilt table. This is extremely useful in working with patients who suffer from POTS, Orthostatic Hypertension, or patients who tend to pass out when they stand up. This table allows us to perform a thorough exam of the autonomic nervous system in a number of different positions. The table also features functionality common to other chiropractic tables. We love the nervous system but we also treat people with neck pain, back pain, and everything in between.
In another room, we have a decompression table. On the decompression table we’re basically doing flexion and distraction. We’re giving feedback to the system passively which is different than actively. This table can actually create a decompression of the spine and then come back up for a lot of lumbar disc reactions and that’s one of the best things that we see with a chronic lumbar disc herniation.
Each room features a large flat-screen where we review all of the test results with our patients. During follow visits, we compare test results to the baseline so that you can see how the therapy is making a difference.
Each of our rooms has a Vibracussor and arthrostim device, which is really just a fancy way of describing our light-force adjustment approach.
This room is home to a number of therapies that we us on a daily basis including RPSS, Cold Laser, Rebuilder, and HBOT.
